Introducing the Mizuno Pro 225 Irons – an all-new Hot Metal inspired bladed design. The most playable of the new Mizuno Pro range, the MP 225 is the second iteration of the manufacturer’s Hot Metal blade. The MP 225 is the ideal solution for mid-high handicap golfers but is equally as effective as a long/mid-range iron alternative for more elite players looking to add extra forgiveness further up their bag.
As with its sister irons – the MP 221 & 223 – the MP 225 is designed using Mizuno’s One-Piece Grain Flow Forging process and features a microlayer of copper beneath the Nickel Chrome. This iteration of the Hot Metal iron comprises a revised CORTECH multi-thickness face across the set, promoting even fast ball speeds - perfect for golfers with a medium to slower swing.
The MP 225 deploys a COR Forged Hollow Body 28.5-gram Tungsten weight in the 2-7 irons – providing greater ball speeds as well as a higher launch, with more stable flight. The 9-PW benefit from a stabilising 431 steel backweight allowing for greater penetration and precision on these higher, scoring irons.
The Mizuno Pro 225 Irons are available as standard in 4-PW and are fitted with True Temper Project X IO 5.5 (Regular) alongside a Lamkin ST Hybrid Grip. Custom fitting options are available from 2-PW in a number of shaft combinations from Senior to Extra Stiff.
